Carlos Sainz, Jr., the son of two-time world rally champion Carlos Sainz, will join Ferrari for the 2021 F1 season on a two-year contract.
The Spanish racer will replace Sebastian Vettel, the four-time F1 champion who is leaving Ferrari at the end of his contract.
Ferrari hopes a younger driver like Sainz, Jr. will bring in wins in 2021.
Autoblog says Vettel is leaving Ferrari after struggling to compete against Charles Leclerc, who is contracted with Ferrari until 2024.
