13-year-old Kobe Bryant seemed ready for purple and gold in 1992, signing one classmate’s Bala Cynwyd Middle School yearbook with “How ’bout those Lakers?”.

The yearbook that Kobe autographed for a friend is now up for auction. While there’s no official school photo of Bryant in the yearbook (he came to the school halfway into the season), he is in the school’s basketball team photo.

Also included is Bryant’s full caption that reads “In a few years you’ll probably be dunking on me. NOT! How ’bout those Lakers? Your friend, Kobe Bryant #24.” Iconic Auctions told TMZ the yearbook could fetch up to $20,000. The current bid is at over $4,000.
