Big changes could be coming to the NFL if some of the proposals in the new collective bargaining agreement go through.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter says that the league is considering adding a seventh team to each conference making the playoffs next year, with only one team receiving a first-round bye per conference.

According to one source speaking to the network, “There wasn’t a lot of disagreement to that issue.”

Other ideas include having a 17-game schedule potentially starting in 2021 and fewer training camp and regular-season practices.
