Report: Warriors still plan to offer KD, Klay max contracts

Report: Warriors Will Offer Max Contracts To Durant, Thompson

According to reports, the Warriors plan on offering max contracts to both Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson, despite the fact that both players are expected to miss some or even all of next season due to injury.

ESPN's Brian Windhorst says that the Warriors still plan to extend five-year maximum offers to Durant and Thompson this offseason, which would make the team's payroll as high as $350 million including the luxury tax.

Durant was diagnosed with a ruptured Achilles suffered during Game 5, while Thompson suffered a torn ACL during Thursday's decisive Game 6.
